Add simple text

Simple text is text that is encoded into the image without any formatting information (no specific font, font size, etc.). When exploring an image with such textual data encoded, the text appears within a simple window at the position of the mouse cursor.

The following steps are necessary to code the text:

• Selection of an image region, with which the text is associated and into which the textual data will be encoded (left image below).
• Thereupon, the button for inserting text needs to be pressed (right image below).

• A dialog appears in which the type of the text can be selected (left image below).
• Upon selecting Simple unformatted text and pressing the OK button, the text can be specified (right image below).

• A T icon is integrated in the image (highlighted in the left image below). By pressing this icon a dialog appears that allows to edit the text again.
• Now the text is specified and connected with the region that had been selected. To finally generate the coded image, the button highlighted in the right image below needs to be pressed. Thereafter, the coded image can be stored.
